Why every holistic business owner should Add Holistic Digital Products in business

If you’re running a holistic business, there’s only so much you can do in a day. Holistic digital products can be a gamechanger for you sanity. I know they saved mine.

Trading hours for dollars feels rewarding at first, but it’s easy to hit a wall when your time is your only resource.

I get that. Running an online business and coaching can leave you little time to create products and courses for your business.

But Digital products give you a way to reach more people without burning out or turning away new clients.

I found myself in burnout stage and quickly realized I needed to step beyond just providing 1:1 services and explore new income streams to share my expertise to a wider audience.

When you add digital products to your offerings, you can help more people and earn money, even when you’re off playing softball.

When I expanded my business with done-for-you courses and Canva templates, it made my business life so much smoother and a lot more fun.

It opened pockets of time I needed desperately. I was able to open up my creativity in a way I’d never done before.

What is a holistic Digital Product

Holistic business owners have a unique mix of healing modalities and spiritual methods. Use that wisdom to turn your wisdom into digital products. New doors will open for a new level of relationship with your audience and helps you get your message out to more people.

A Digital product is a product you can sell or share online without shipping a physical item. They’re often easy to create, repeat, and update, making it a perfect fit for those ready to grow past hourly services.

I use Canva to create all my digital products. If you are new to Canva, go here to learn some Canva beginner tips.

Let’s take a look at what kinds of digital products work best for holistic businesses.

eBooks and Guides

My first experience with digitals products was with creating an e-book for a lead magnet. I worried that I wouldn’t be able to afford paying a designer to create one for me.

So I set out to find a cost-effective way to make one. I found Canva. I loved making products inside of Canva. Never could I have imagined that my biz life would change in a whole new direction.

Making your own digital product can be easy when you start with one of our templates.

People love quick wins, and eBooks or guides deliver just that. You don’t need to write a novel.

Think about a problem that your client has, then create an eBook to help them solve that problem. When they can experience a quick win, it builds your authority and expertise.

Break down your best advice about stress relief, nutrition, mindfulness, or the topic you specialize in.

  • eBooks: Go deep into a subject, sharing your story or breaking down a method.
  • Guides: Step-by-step handouts, how-tos, or resource lists your clients ask for again and again.
  • Workbooks: Worksheets and action steps help readers apply what you teach.

Online Courses and Workshops

Teaching online means clients can learn at their own pace, from wherever they are. You can offer live workshops through Zoom, or record lessons and sell them as a series.

  • Courses: Turn your core framework into bite-size lessons, add video, audio, worksheets or slides.
  • Workshops: Host live deep-dives and record them so they can be reused as products.
  • Mini-courses: Share small, focused lessons for a specific result—perfect for busy clients.

When I was first starting my business there were so many things for me to figure out that I didn’t have any time left to make a class or course. I would have loved finding a reputable source to buy a done-for-you course.

It’s so easy to customize them with your own brand colors and modify text for fit your voice.

Guided Meditations and Audio Products

Your customer will love a guided meditation done in your voice. Use a script and add your calming voice to healing music to create for a simple meditation product.

Create a list of affirmations that align with your topic and add them to soft background music to support a mindfulness or gratitude practice.

This allows them to learn while they drive or do housework or do a short meditation or release as they relax or recharge.

  • Guided meditations: Offer sessions that support mindfulness, relaxation, or self-healing.
  • Affirmation tracks: Short recordings people can listen to daily.
  • Sound journeys: If you use sound healing or music therapy, package it as a download.

Templates, Planners, and Printable Tools

For a quick win, your clients may want a solution they can use right away. Premade templates for journals, planners and printables save you time and make it easy for you to share your wisdom.

  • Meal planners: For nutrition coaches, holistic lifestyle coaches or herbalists.
  • Habit trackers: For staying on track with wellness routines, sleep, or self-care.
  • Session worksheets: Make tools clients can use between appointments to stay on track with your program.
  • Journal templates: Guided writing prompts for those trying to keep a holistic routine.

I love making journals with different themes that fit my business. I started with making journals based on the theme of the course I was giving. Then I expanded into publishing them on Amazon KDP, for another income stream.

Self-Paced Challenges

People are motivated by group energy, but not everyone can join your live events.

A self-paced challenge gives them structure with the freedom to move at their own speed.

Wellness challenges: A 5-, 7-, or 10-day challenge can be quickly created using a template.

Your client is able to get a quick win during a challenge. It’s a great lead in to a course you offer.

I love a good challenge. It builds my self-esteem and helps me to feel as though I can do it!

Mindfulness journeys: You can provide a daily prompt delivered by email, post it in your Facebook group, or put it inside your members-only portal.

As a bonus, you can provide them with a beautifully branded journaling page for them to write their wins.

Detox programs: A mini-detox program can include pre-recorded lessons, checklists, and resources bundled together.

Other Unique Digital Product Ideas

Digital products aren’t just lessons and printouts. You can create experiences and tools that support your mission in new ways.

I like to include a resource guide with workbooks and eBooks that have affiliate links to help boost my passive income streams. I only use products I use and are in alignment with my values.

Bonus tip: Add a resource page to your website and to your membership site with affiliate links to products you love and believe in. You are helping your clients by giving them easy-to-access products.

Resource libraries: Curate meditations, recipes, or exercise routines for subscribers. Link your resource library to your email list so they are required to opt-in to access your library.

Memberships: Offer access to new content every month, like group calls or fresh bundles. Digital products work so well in adding value to your membership.

Visual assets: You can create custom affirmation cards, mindfulness posters, or digital wall art with Canva templates.

With so many options, it’s easy to start simple and add more as your as you have time and as you feel more comfortable with digital products. I wrote about some simple ideas to use PLR in your business.

The key is to match your offers with what your clients want to do, learn, or solve while giving them a taste of your approach, even when you can’t meet in person.

4 Benefits of Selling holistic Digital Products

Adding digital products might feel like a big step for holistic business owners, but the upsides make a strong case for giving it a try.

Adding digital products doesn’t just save time. They open up real freedom, steady income, and offer more chances for you to serve your community.

If you want to help more people without working more hours, here’s why digital products belong in your toolkit.

Earn While You’re Not Working

The classic problem? There’s only so much of you to go around. Digital products let you earn even when you’re off the clock.

Clients can buy your guides, meditations, or templates at 3 a.m. while you sleep or while you’re enjoying time off.

There’s nothing like that first “ping” on your phone to notify you of a new sale! The first time it happened to me, I was so excited. I knew my message was getting out there to help others.

When you have digital products, your message is available anytime. You don’t need to worry about missing a sale if you’re not available.

Passive income: Once you get the product set up, they are there until you take it down. The products continue to sell as you share them with your audience.

Zero extra sessions: No extra appointments or hours needed to make more revenue. You can earn money while you sleep. What a nice feeling!

Less burnout: When you expand your reach and make more products available, you don’t need to work as hard, leaving more time for rest, without spreading yourself too thin.

Reach More People in New Places

It can be challenging to schedule clients who are outside of your time zone. When you using digital products, it removes these limits. Anyone, anywhere, can buy your offerings at any time.

Your guide on stress relief could help someone in your neighborhood or on the other side of the world, all without you needing to travel or adjust your schedule.

  • Global clients: Your expertise isn’t boxed in by distance.
  • All-day access: Customers can buy and use your products whenever they want.
  • Impact multiplies: Each sale means another person touched by your amazing, healing work.

Build a Safety Net Income Stream

Every holistic business experiences a few ups and downs depending on the time of year. Sometimes clients move on, schedules shift, or you need to take time off.

I found that using digital products and courses made it easy for me to maintain income while experiencing balance my schedule and take time off so I didn’t get burned out.

Digital products give you a steady backup stream. Think of it like having a “pause button” on stress about money. It keeps cash flowing when session bookings slow down or life throws you a curveball.

  • Less stress: Know you have income, even during slow periods.
  • Weather slowdowns: Digital sales can cover gaps if your calendar isn’t full.
  • Peace of mind: One less thing to worry about while you focus on helping clients.

Boost Your Visibility and Brand

Digital products work like little ambassadors for your business. Each sale puts your name and your style in front of a fresh face. Clients get a taste of what you offer, and many come back for deeper work or 1:1 sessions.

Over time, more people get to know your brand, and you start showing up in more places, without extra effort. They get used to your colors, your fonts, and your vibe.

For help picking awesome colors for your brand I like to explore the options over at Coolers.co. It’s a gold mine for starting your brand. Make sure you have some extra time because you may just get lost in the rabbit hole.

Many times, I can pick out a brand by just looking at their brand colors and layouts. Being consistent helps your customers recognize you.

  • Grow your audience: Products get shared, opening doors to new fans.
  • Strengthen your reputation: Helpful, well-made products set you apart and make you easy to recommend.
  • Easy marketing: Digital products give you regular reasons to pop up in emails, social posts, and new client conversations.

Here’s an article I wrote about Soulful Brand Design to help give you some great pointers on branding.

Selling digital products isn’t just about making money on autopilot—it’s about building a stronger, more flexible business that lets you help more people, feel less stress, and grow your reach, one download at a time.

How Digital Products Fit Into Holistic Business Values

The core of holistic business isn’t just what you sell, it’s how and why you do it. You care about people.

Your work supports well-being, balance, and growth, not just for clients, but for yourself.

Digital products are a perfect match for these deeper values. They let you help more people, share your gifts widely, and stay true to your calling, without burning out or losing touch with what matters most.

Support Balance—For You and Your Clients

At the heart of any holistic business is the search for balance. Digital products honor this value by giving you more breathing room in your schedule.

Digital products helped me to walk my talk. I was able to cut back on the direct work I was doing and schedule in more “ME” time. It saved my sanity.

When you’re not booked solid with sessions, you get time for self-care, creativity, or rest. At the same time, your clients get access to your teachings any time they need support.

  • Protect your energy: Sell knowledge and tools on your terms.
  • Flexible for clients: People use resources when it fits their lives, not just during appointments.
  • Less pressure: You stop feeling like you have to say “yes” to every request to make ends meet.

Spread Healing and Positive Change

Most holistic business owners dream of helping more people. But there’s just one of you.

Digital products let your insight and guidance travel farther and touch more lives.

You can share calming meditations, nourishing recipes, or simple daily rituals with hundreds of people at once.

  • Widen your reach: More people benefit from your work, even those who can’t afford or attend 1:1 sessions.
  • Make a ripple effect: One audio or guide can lift dozens of lives without extra effort from you.
  • Plant seeds of change: Digital tools support lasting habits and growth, even between 1:1 appointments.

Once I created a product, it was always there for me to share. I could sell it, share it, use it as a lead magnet, or add in as a bonus for one of my courses.

Keep Your Work Aligned With Your Mission

Selling digital products doesn’t mean losing the soul of your business. In fact, it lets share your values. You choose what to offer, how much support to give, and how to build your community.

This way, your work stays personal, grounded, and focused on providing a service for your customers, not just making sales.

Teach your method: Turn your unique process into guides or courses, spreading your message even further.

Reflect your values: Design products that fit your beliefs, from mindful eating to stress relief.

Connect, not just collect: Use digital tools to foster real connections, encourage feedback, and build trust.

When I added digital products into my holistic business, I wasn’t just selling information. I made each product with a purpose that provided a transformation when completed.

You’re extending a helping hand and giving your community more ways to grow, while honoring your own need for rest and self-care.

Simple Ways to Start Selling Digital Products

Selling digital products doesn’t need to feel overwhelming, even if you’re new to tech. You can start small and grow as you get comfortable, one step at a time.

Many holistic business owners hold back because they fear it will be too hard or they worry their ideas aren’t “good enough.”

The truth? You already have knowledge and experience someone needs. Here’s how to take that first step and find your first few buyers without the stress.

Choosing a Topic That Fits Your Niche

You have a passion and you want to help others.

When I decided to add in a product, I thought about what lights me up. I didn’t need a brand-new idea to succeed, I needed to expand what I was currently offering.

Chose a topic that pulls from your own story and experience. Your passion shows up in your energy, and people will connect to that.

Think:

What problems do your 1:1 clients talk about most often? What questions do they ask you? These are clues. Your answers to their struggles already work, so wrap one into a guide, checklist, or meditation.

Think smaller than a course. What can you do that will provide them with a small win?

What do friends or clients praise you for helping with? If people come to you for advice on a topic, that’s a strong sign.

I found myself helping people create lead magnets and workbook for their business courses. So I decided to create an affordable option for them to make their own workbook.

The result was a Canva template that would help them create their own product without needing to pay me for custom work.

Which topics do you love talking about, even for free? Your audience can feel if you’re heart isn’t in it, so pick something you enjoy.

I absolutely love to make journals and workbooks. I’ve done several for free before I realized that I had a business just waiting to be birthed into reality.

Here’s a quick way to brainstorm you first product:

  1. List everything you help your clients with in sessions.
  2. List some of the questions you get frequently.
  3. Circle the topics you never get tired of.
  4. Pick one you feel most ready to share with a wider group.
  5. Pick a format for the product.
  6. Start with a template to make creation faster and easier for you.

Don’t let perfection slow you down. People want small wins. Solve one problem well and you’re in business.

Even a simple 3-page guide or a 10-minute audio can bring value. Start with what you know and love, and layer in your personal touch.

That’s where your magic begins.

Finding Your First Buyers

Getting your first sales might feel like a big leap, but it’s easier if you start with people who already trust you. Focus on connection over selling.

Here’s are some steps that I took:

I started with my current connections: I shared my new product with past clients, I shared it with my social followers on Facebook and Instagram, and I sent an announcement to my email list.

Remember, those who already know you are your first customers. Let them know you have something new to offer and ask for honest feedback.

I shared the story behind my product, explaining why I created it and how it has helped me and others. My personal story built trust fast.

I used simple selling tools: I used ETSY to get started on selling. Then I slowly added the products to my website so they were easy to find.

You can also use easy platforms like Gumroad, Payhip, or Etsy. You can easily get items listed for sale without any tech skills. Just upload your file, add a description, and you’re all set.

Offer a “beta” or first version at a lower price: You can invite your early buyers to give feedback. They feel special, and you gain real-life testimonials.

Make it easy to buy: Avoid tech headaches. Link directly to your product in emails, posts, and bios. If it’s hard for them to go through the process, they won’t buy.

You don’t need a huge audience to start. Selling even a handful of digital products to people who know and trust you is a win.

Each sale builds confidence and gives you real feedback to improve your next offer.

Start simple, be honest, and let your genuine passion lead the way. Your first buyers will notice and spread the word.

Next Steps

Digital products give holistic business owners more freedom and space to do good work. Sharing your expertise online means you help more people without losing your spark or running on empty.

Each sale brings in income, but it also spreads your knowledge and values far beyond what’s possible with just 1:1 service.

Getting started isn’t about being perfect, it’s about taking one real step today, no matter how small. If you’ve been thinking about a guide, a meditation, or a simple checklist, now’s the time to share it.

Your clients and community are waiting.

If you’re ready to dive into digital products, stop by our shop and see what product will help you create your next product.

I can’t wait for you to get started.
